Side Dishes

Anti-Inflammatory Salad for dogs

Ingredients:

1/2 tsp chia seeds

1/2 tsp hemp hearts

1 quail egg, hardboiled, peeled, and chopped  (or raw)

1/4 cup frozen green beans

1/4 cup cooked diced and cooled pumpkin or sweet potato

2 tbsp fresh or frozen blueberries

1/4 cup Kale or spinach

1/8 shredded carrots

2 slices peeled fresh apple, diced

1 daily dose of your favourite Omega 3-6 fatty acid

Instructions:

Place the chia seeds and hemp hearts in a blender or food processor and pulse to break down. Set aside.

Prepare the hardboiled eggs and sweet potato or pumpkin

When all of the ingredients that require cooking are ready combine everything in a small container and mix well. I find it easier to layer the ingredients in, adding a little of the omega supplement with every layer. Then pop on a lid and give a big shake, it’s a whole lot easier than stirring.
